Multiclass image classification
The task of determining what object does an image contain from a pre-specified list of possibilities, called classes. Systems that tackle this problem usually order the classes, from the one that is most likely to appear in the image to the one that is least likely.
Top-1 error
Measures the percentage of test examples on which the target label was the class assigned with the highest score.
Top-5 error
Measures the percentage of test examples on which the target label was one in the top five scores.
Machine translation
A sub-field of computational linguistics that investigates the use of software to translate text or speech from one language to another.
